I was twenty-something and had a fair bit of growing up to do, still I recognized in Tracy’s pragmatic observation something that has stayed with me ever since. We will keep being presented with the same lesson, over and over again, until we just don’t do the thing that triggers that particular lesson anymore.
There are many teachings that illustrate the point. The road with the hole in it that we keep going down and falling into from different angles until we finally choose not to go down that road anymore is one of my favorites.
